Applying template / page layout to entire workbook

Good morning, I’ve been a market analyst user for many years and have just upgraded to Optuma this week.
I have some basic templates that I want to apply to my workbook. It appears that the version of MA I was on is too old for my workbooks and templates to be compatible so I’m starting from scratch.
I’ve created a workbook without any issues by importing a .CSV file.
I set up a new ‘page layout’ with the settings I wish to apply.
I’ve hit a wall with trying to apply this to the entire workbook.

I started reading the help files and also the 101 getting started video. On the tool bar on the LHS of the screen I’m missing the template icons that appear in the trading videos, I’m also missing any template options from the FILE pull down menu.

It seems that ‘templates’ are being phased out but happy to do this with a ‘page layout’. I can see the one I created from the pull down menu on the top right. I can apply to one page but can’t see how to apply to the entire workbook. It’s ASX300 so I don’t want to apply individually.

I’m sure I’m missing something really basic and I would really appreciate any assistance, thanks so much, Deborah

Hi Deborah,

Did you watch the Optuma 101-17 video?

It’s only 9 minutes long and it might contain the answers you are looking for.

Thanks so much Peter. Unfortunately the video didn’t help as it seems to focus on application to one chart - not applying to every chart in the workbook.

Hi Deborah,

Hopefully this article should help you to sort out your problem.

(I activated the legacy templates functions in settings as suggested in the article and tested the features out and it works for me).

Peter, that’s just what I needed!!
Thank you so much. Perfect. Now with just one click I can get my charts in the format I need.
Really appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Thanks again, Deborah

Hi Deborah,

Once the Page Layout has been created you can open a list of symbols using that layout (rather than opening the charts first and then applying the Page Layout).

I’ve added Optuma Symbol Lists to your account which contains the current members of the ASX300 (as well as ASX200, ASX50, etc) which will allow you to open all 300 using your Page Layout. Here’s a video showing you how to do that:

Hi Darren,
This is wonderful!
Thank you so much for enabling the symbol list - now I can do everything I want really easily.
Appreciate the great support here,
thank you, Deborah
