Bloomberg Portfolio

I was attempting to load/link portfolios from Bloomberg. The portfolio IDs are in 2 formats on Bloomberg. The format I was able to load/link was Uxxxxxx-xx format. Close to the format used in the example. We have other portfolio IDs that have the format Axxxxxxxx-xxx. The ID format beginning with A will not load. Seems like Optuma is expecting/defaulting the ID to begin with the letter U. Not sure if this is something unique with how the portfolios were created in Bloomberg. As of now I am unable to load/link the portfolios that begin with the letter A.

Thanks.
Brian

Hi Brian,

We’ve done some checks here and all the test portfolios we’ve reviewed in BB Terminal start with U. We’ve tried a number if different setup options and regardless of what is selected the ID always starts with a U.

You may need to check with Bloomberg support on what causes the ID to use an A. There maybe limitations placed on these special Portfolio types via the API, but without knowing the specific rules around what triggers an A designation we can’t be sure.
