Hi,

Please tell me how to insert custom column which uploaded by csv file.
I want to insert name “Lithium” to replace the data you provide(show on the image).

Hi,

If you have Professional or Enterprise Services, you will be able to use the EDF system to upload custom fields via CSV file:

If you are on Trader Services you won’t have access to EDFs but you could manually input text into the Journal system, and add the Notes column to the watchlist as an alternative:

thanks for the great idea about the Note column.

One question: How can I update the entry in the Note column when I have changed the note in a journal?

I have for test purpose entered a note in the journal of Apple and then have added the Note column in a watchlist. That worked fine, the note in the journal of Apple appeared in the Note column of my watchlist. Then I have changed and deleted the note entry in the journal of Apple BUT in the watchlist the changed and even the deleted note in the journal didn’t changed in the watchlist at all.

ADDENDUM

Changing the note in the journal works. The watchlist is updated. But deleting the entry in the journal and even deleting/removing the journal entry has no effect on the watchlist. The old journal entry still appears in the Note column of the watchlist.

Yes, if you wish to change the Note you need to create a new Journal entry and update the text there.

thanks for the fast replay on the last day of the year.

Changing the note in the journal is not the problem as I first thought. Changing the note in the journal changes the entry in the Note column in the watchlist. Perfect!

The problem is when I have deleted/removed the journal entry the old deleted journal entry is still entered in the Note column in the watchlist although the journal entry is already deleted.

Hi,

I don’t think there’s a trigger for delete to cause a refresh like that, I’ll need to do some tests to verify, but in the meantime if you replace the text with a single space it will have the same effect.
