Do all flags and pennants have to lead with a gap? Or is it just a steep price trend?
Not really important to ‘lead’ with a gap. It may however exit with a gap if the price break is strong.
You will however not really be able to trade the stock (or profit potential has decreased), if the stock gaps to much.
