One of the most powerful fundamental indicators available to futures traders is looking at contango and backwardation – especially for trend following strategies.

I currently use tradestation and barcharts to inform myself of this condition for futures and the spx500.  Optuma has all the ingredients to calculate this essentially creating associated implied yield curves for commodities and the Vix for those who trade the eminis.

Just use the curve chart and add in all the contracts.

Thanks Mathew – exactly what I need.

Currently it looks like its only available as an enterprise license. I have life long services and additionally purchased the full Gann and Astro modules.  Is this also available as an add on?
