    Hi Optuma team,

This time I have a specific question about computer hardware: assuming I’m working with large watchlists with lots of calculations, how much RAM should the computer have, 32 GB or 64 GB?

    Best wishes,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

It all depends on the size of the watchlists and number of calculations… 32GB may be enough for your needs but we’ve seen lists that require 64GB. It’s always better to have too much than not enough!

    Hi Thomas,

Before rushing out any buying more RAM, run Windows Task Manager and check the Memory usage  when you are using Optuma and all the other applications you have running at the same time. Here as shot of my Task Manager with Optuma in the background:

I have 32GB in my laptop and have never seen my memory usage risk above 75%.

You’ll find Task Manager by  right clicking the Windows Taskbar.

    Cheers

    Trevor
