Hi there, I’ve had a look through previous posts and couldn’t find any mention of this, but is it possible to have a moving average of an index or sector on an individual stock chart? So if I have a chart for RIO, can I have the ASX200 moving average on that chart? Or even the mining/resources sector moving average on the RIO chart?

Apologies in advance if this has been posted before.

    Cheers, Matt

I think you can do this using a relative comparison chart.

Add the index and RIO and then right click near the index and add a moving average.

You can then go to your layer controls and switch off the display of the index itself and just leave the MA, if you wanted.

Another option would be to use the INDEX() script function.

Add a Show Plot and set the script to

Index() works for most securities, we pick the major index from the region and use that.
You’ll just need to unlink the layer in the Structure Panel so their scales are not linked. (see this for more information https://help.optuma.com/kb/faq.php?id=1157)

    All the best
