Saving default settings

Hi all,

I’m having trouble saving any of my settings as defaults. I managed to do this initially for some charts when I started using the software but I am having issues doing this for any new charts, specifically Gann Swing charts.

I found the information below which is what I have been doing but every time I open the chart I need to change the settings.
Save Settings as Default: If you have adjusted any of the Gann Swing Chart’s properties (such as line width, for example) you can save the adjustments as your new default setting. Each time you open a new Gann Swing Chart it will display using the new settings.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi Matthew,

How are you opening the new Gann Swing chart? If you open eg a bar chart first and then change it to a Gann Swing then the defaults won’t show - you have to open it directly from New > Single Code Chart > Gann Swing Chart (or set up a keyboard shortcut). Could that be the reason?

Also, please make sure that you do not have new charts set to open with a Chart Layout as that will override any chart defaults when opening a chart.
