Saxo

perhaps wishful thinking but would love to get data from Saxo via their OpenAPI …

Thanks
Axel

I’ll throw my hat in the ring for that functionality too.

Cheers

Trevor

We’re actually working on it right now! Their API is a bit of a dogs breakfast but we’re working through it all.

a dogs breakfast … loved it. Thank you for the update, Mathew.

Any updates on the Saxo data build?

Hi Ben,

Not at this stage - we did hit some issues and it is waiting for me to get time to have a look at it. I’m a long way behind on other projects so no ETA at this stage.

All the best

Mathew

Just want to add my vote. I’m using Saxo exclusively, so bringing the live data into Optuma would be a significant positive for me.

It won’t make the next update but it is on my list to do since I also use Saxo. Depending on how my schedule shapes up we might be able to release it as a small update.

No promises of an ETA at this stage, just letting you know it is high on my priorities.

All the best

Mathew

Any update on progress for the Saxo data feed @mathew?

Hi David,

The item is still on our list of items to do, however currently we are behind schedule on several major projects and all our focus is on these. We still are unable to provide an ETA at this stage.

Add another vote for Saxo, I would also love to see CQG data

Hi All

Looks like its time to bump this issue into the new year

I recently switched to Saxo from IB due to an ongoing issue with the old broker, but I’m still maintaining an account with IB with the minimum balance allowed in order to maintain the historical real-time charts I’ve built up over the years in Optuma.

I was contemplating fudging something together via Saxo’s Excel integration, manually refreshing a standalone Excel file every 5 mins then reloading into Optuma… but I’d rather not  Personally I don’t care for order entry from within Optuma, just the realtime data integration.

So Matthew - any updates on Saxo integration?

Hi All,

I apologise that I can not bump this up the chain. It is always an economic issue and these feeds take a lot of work to add in.

My goal is to change the way that we interface with all feeds so that we do not have to be involved when there is a new feed, rather we have defined api and anyone can write (or engage a programmer) to make a connection. Essentially I want to open source this part of Optuma.

Doing this is something that is easier for me to justify as I then have an option for everyone who has a connection to some feed around the world and I do not have to divert developers for each one.

I would dearly love to get this included in the 2.2 update in June/July but I can not promise it until we start the project.

Mathew

Great idea - got my #1 vote.

Intraday data has been a real issue since access to eSignal was cut off and IB data just doesn’t work.

Using TradingView during the day is a pain.
