"Sector" in Standard watchlist data

Hi Mathiew,

Please could “Sector” be added to the standard list of elements. It’s available by default in the screener but we can’t display it in the watchlist:

Thanks and Best Regards

Marc

Hi Marc,

At this point the data is a little questionable (unless you are using Bloomberg). We are working on a new Factset based grouping system and should have that available in the middle of the year. At that point we will add Sector and Industry into that list.

All the best

Mathew

Hi Marc,

If you have access to our Fundamental data then you can add sector and industry from that database (which is separate from the screener info Mathew is referring to).

Instructions to add data to your account can be found here. Once added, any fundamental data can be added to a watchlist:

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info. I will take an example to illustre my dilemma:

I scan the US market . From the scan result I can see which sector each stock belongs to. I sort them out by sector and decide to study one of them.
I can’t select the stocks from the scanning manager to make a list. So I open the scan result in a watchlist but then I can’t sort the watchlist per sector… So I have to manually type each ticker in a list.

Even if the Sector data is not perfect, what you provide is stil very much useful.

Cheers
Marc

Hi Marc,

Ok, it took me a bit to work out as I thought your image was in a watchlist. I could not see that it was in the scan results.

We have a new field coming in the next major release (due around June) which will have Sector and Industry. We’ll make sure that they are included in the watchlist columns.

All the best

Mathew

Great! Thanks Mathew
