I’m pulling in an excel list of US exchange-based codes and I’m noticing for example AMD is a symbol for an ASX stock as well as the US and I can tell the watch list isn’t sure which symbol to use, is there a way to denote the exchange in the excel file ahead of time in order to force the watch list to recognize the US based symbol?
Hi Jon,
In the Excel file add :US to the ticker symbol and it will then load the correct data, ie AMD:US.
To add the exchange suffix to all symbols add :US to the column to the right of the ticker and then use the =concatenate(a1,b1) function to join them together in a 3rd column:
You will then be able to drag that new column from Excel into the software to create a new watchlist, as per this video:
