I have again a feature enhancement recommendation. In the tool “Time Measure” the highest time period that could be chosen under “Label Type” is “Months”.
It would be great if the time period “Years” would be available under “Label Types”.
In the tool “Time Price Label” it would be also great to have a time period for “Years”.
Only in the tool “Time Price Measure“ it is possible to create a formula to calculate a year time period (https://forum.optuma.com/topic/add-script-to-time-measure-tool/). Unfortunately this is not possible in the tool “Time Measure” and “Time Price Label”.
I can’t see any issues with this but I doubt it will make version 1.5 as that is starting to be rolled out. There is no ETA on 1.6 at this stage but I imagine it would be early next year.
I made today the update to v1.5 and have looked at the tool “Time Measure” to see whether the time period “Years” under “Label Type” is now possible.
Unfortunately this is not the case. Can you make “Years” under “Label Type” possible?
In the knowledge base article “What’s New in Optuma Version 1.5” (https://help.optuma.com/kb/faq.php?id=1098) the “Time Measure” tool is listed as labels have been adjusted. But can’t see any changes.
The job is in the system to get done but it was allocated to Optuma 1.6 as I mentioned in my last post. Granted 1.5 took a lot longer to role out than expected but we have to segment the work or we’ll never get a release out. Experience has taught us that even the smallest changes can have unintended consequences and we have to test everything. That’s why these things can take time.
I located this thread when looking for discussion on the TPM tool. I use the tool regularly and have added a years and weeks calculation for display without any trouble.
What I’d also love to be able to do with this TPM tool, rather than with a separate Planetary Labels tool, is to add a measure of planetary movement for display - could this be possible? I guess like what can be done for the Gann Day count tool expect rather than the measures being fixed to the last bar they calculate according to the TPM tool’s end bar?
Thanks Darren - yes, the TM tool will do the trick much like planetary labels however it will only account for one planet at a time.
It would be an eloquent option to be able to add planets to the TPM tool and measure between two points with the one tool with two clicks - this would allow for the display with one tool or CD counts, TD counts, dates, prices, weeks, months, years, solar degrees, and degrees of planetary movement for multiple bodies.
Anyway, just a thought, hence under feature requests.
