Application of layouts to a whole workbook

The latest update of Optuma seems to be bringing changes (what else). Sadly, there seems to be the loss of a function that I used frequently and found most useful.

There were two buttons on the left side of the screen, under action panel, whereby a template could be applied to a whole workbook, and another whereby a template could be applied to a single chart. The alteration didn’t need to be saved and the workbook maintained its original default layout. It enabled the temporary application to a whole workbook of alternative templates with various indicators and time frames, etc.

Optuma has phased out what it chooses to call “templates” and replaced them with two “layout” formats, one nominated as “chart” and one as “page”, with slightly different functions. Now, it seems, there has been a functional loss in that the two buttons have removed and templates have been removed and replaced with “layouts”.

In the latest update the buttons seem to have been removed, and there seems to be no capacity to do what I did previously, not even using a layout rather than a template. I can find no way to apply a layout to a whole workbook so that I can just switch it on and off as I could do before.

Has anybody got any ideas on this please? I would dearly like to regain this function.

Hi,

Templates are still available, but if you’ve done a new install recently, the option maybe hidden by default. You can re-add these buttons via your Settings menu:

Settings - Workspace - General - Enable Legacy Templates
