Chart Element Font Style

Hi Optuma-Team,

I noticed that the font looks different when using the “Text Box” tool and the “Chart Element” tool, even if the font size and color have the same settings.

Here is a screenshot to show the difference:

It seems that the “Chart Element” tool uses a “condensed” font setting, i.e. the spacing between letters is smaller than normal. Also the font color in the “Chart Element” tool looks different than the one in the “Text Box” tool, although both text examples uses “black” as font color.

I understand that using a condensed font allows you to write more text in a given area.

But when you mix a “Text Box” tool and a “Chart Element” tool on a chart and the text of both tools looks different, it is a bit irritating.

Furthermore, it is not possible with the “Chart Element” tool to create a manual line break. The tool creates the line break as it wants it. No chance to change that.

Therefore, I would like to recommend that both the “Text Box” tool and the “Chart Element” tool use the same font properties (letter spacing and color) and it should also be possible to create a line break where the user wants it.

Thanks for reading,
Thomas

Hi Optuma Team

Just a reminder that my feature recommendation above is still on my wish list for a future update of Optuma.

Best wishes,
Thomas
