Historical Data for Studying W D Gann’s Lessons

Students of W D Gann often wish they had the daily, weekly or monthly charts of the markets that Gann was describing in his extensive library of lessons. Having the charted data, then stepping through Gann’s trades day by day as he describes them brings a whole new understanding to what he was seeing and describing, almost invariably way to briefly.

Being able to apply the multitude of Optuma’s Gann tools to the charts brings Gann’s view of the markets, and his lessons, to life as we can now see what he was seeing and thus understand just what he may have been thinking, especially when he took what appear to be extremely aggressive trades.

Ah, but we don’t have that historical market data☹

Well, yes, we do at least have some of it.

This Auld Tyma has come someway to overcoming the lack of some of that market data by going back through too many old newspapers and books to gather and collate the data in a form that can be imported into Optuma. The data is available from the Auld Tyma Data website.

Here’s a listing of the market data currently available:

All the markets studied in Timothy Walker’s third excellent book “How to Forecast Like W D Gann, Part 1” are included in the above list.
