Lost Toolbar

Hi,
Quick question from a newbie. Not sure what I’ve done but when I load Optuma application and login everything is fine, the toolbar at the top of the screen is present, you know File, New, Tools, Settings, Data, etc and to the right all my toolbar shortcuts are there. However when I load a workbook all that disappears and I’m left with only the strip of pages, left and right arrows, home button, etc.

I’ve looked in settings but can’t for the life work out how to get it all back.

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Hi Alexander,

Look like you need to hit Function Key 11 a couple of times. F11 opens you page full screen.

Cheers

Trevor

Hi Alexander,

I’m not sure exactly what you are seeing (click here for how to take screenshots and videos of issues), but it sounds like the workbook has been saved in ‘expanded view’ screen mode that removes the menu buttons.

To reset, press the F11 key to return to the usual view, but note that there are two expanded screen views, so you may have to press F11 twice (click here for more information). Once returned to the standard view, save the workbook and it will then reopen with the menus and toolbar buttons available.

That’s it, problem fixed. I knew it would be easy once known. Thanks to you both.

I have a related problem
I have lost my custom buttons on the toolbar (Folders setup with associated tools) is there a file location for these?
I am thinking if I could find it and move it back to where it display the customs buttons would save me having to create these again.
Any technical help would be much appreciated
Thanks Steve

Hi Steve,

All your Optuma files (workbooks, scans, tool settings, etc) are saved in the Documents/Optuma folder, with the specific file for your toolbar in the Local/Common folder.

I’m not sure how it was moved, but if you can’t find it then you can try to restore the ToolBars.xml file from the most recent backup, as per these instructions:
