Hi Optuma,

With the new FactSet Sectors data announced last year are the Asia Pacific Lists in Symbol Lists up to date?

With the FactSet data it is difficult to do ASX sector analysis and drilling down as the FactSet data does not match.

If we are wanting to use the S&P/ASX 11 GICS (and the five extra) or the ASX 20/50/100/300 or other ASX indices such as Small Ords/All Tech I am assuming we have to maintain these Symbol Lists ourselves using CSV files?

Hi Tim,

Unfortunately, the licence fee for the GICS sector data is prohibitively expensive, which is why we use the FactSet definitions.

Here’s the latest ASX sector workbook with a watchlist for each of the GICS sectors for the ASX300 stocks. We update this quarterly, or you can manually add / remove symbols as changes are made.
